About Me

I'm currently a PhD candidate at the University of Maryland, College Park. My dissertation research is on voting and polarization; currently, I am working on chapters about voting mechanisms and whether or not they affect polarization the way that some social choice theorists think they do and our normative duty as citizens to not be politically polarized.

I also like playing a few sports; I would probably rate myself as a 3.5 to 4.0 tennis player, and I've been known to play pickup basketball on occasion. (I've also lately picked up pickleball because it's been an easier sport to play with my wife!) My favorite soccer team is the Southampton Saints (sadly, we've been relegated from the Premier League recently), and my favorite basketball team is the San Antonio Spurs because I love the system. I've also recently gotten into baseball at a fortuitous time - let's go, O's!
